George Adamski's 1952 contact in the California desert reportedly involved a Venusian named Orthon. While Adamski's accounts are among the most controversial in UFO literature, his detailed descriptions of Venusian philosophy — emphasizing universal love, cosmic law, and spiritual evolution — established themes that would recur in numerous independent contactee accounts.
